|Hezhou city is in the eastern part of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, at the skirt of the southwest China, in the jointing areas of Guangdong, Hongkong and Macau. The city covers an area of 11855 square kilometers, in charge of Babu, Zhongshan, Zhaoping and Fuchuan Yao Autonomous counties. It has 2.06 million inhabitants with over 20 different ethnic nationnalities including Han, Yao, Zhuang, Miao, Hui, Dong and Yi.
Hezhou has more than 2000 years of history. It boasts many culture relics and historical sites, as well as beautiful natural scenery and simple folk customs. There are natiional treasures, the Kilin Pot - which was made in the Spring and Autumn Period of 2500 years ago, and other cultural attractions such as Jade Stamp Hill On Water, Ke Minority Houses, Huang Yao Ancient Town, Castle of the Ming Dynasty, Huilan Wind and Rain Bridge and Xiushui Scholar Village. It is also rich in national Forest Parks, Luhua Hot Spring, Ten-mile Lotus Pond Gallery and the first cave under heaven, the Bishui Cave. The lylic and picturesque landscape in Hezhou not only attracts numerous tourists from home and abroad, but is also becoming a place for TV programme producers. The famous Hong Kong TV program "Tea Fragrance from Home" and "Wine Better From Home", along wtith "Women in the Lodge" in the mainland, had many scenes from this area.
