Fangchenggang City is located in the beautiful Beibu Gulf. This new coastal harbor city consists of Gangkou and Fangcheng districts and Shangsi County as well as Dongxing City, with an area of 6,300 square kilometers and a population of 800,000.   Blessed with a favorable geographical location, the city, with 584 kilometers of coastline and 213 kilometers of border line, is an important access route to the ocean and the border areas. There are four national class-A ports, serving as key gateways for the Southwest China to access to the sea, and known as the gate for the Southwest China and passage along the border. Fangchenggang has enormous business potential in harbor construction. It has more than 20 business hubs and fishery harbors. It is one of the 20 key communicating harbors in China. The handling capacity of the harbor will reach 60 million tons by the end of the 11th Five-Year Plan and continue to march towards the target of 100 million tons of handling capacity.  Fangchenggang is rich in resources including the well-preserved subtropical virgin forest, the national reserve park, the mangro forest as well as camellia and annuls. Its diverse coastal scenery and ethnic cultures attract millions of visitors every year.  It also has some lovely beaches.
